    • Junket Productions, Inc. (JPI) is a full service production company that can produce your next domestic or international press junket. We maintain a vast network on both coasts of location-based crew and production-quality equipment to produce your next Electronic Press Kit (EPK), DVD Added-Value, Media Set Visit, or Satellite Media Tour (SMT). According to your needs, we can provide set design, makeup artists and a range of production details, like scheduling and schedule execution.

      JPI has excellent rapport with all of the "junket-friendly" hotels in Los Angeles and New York, including Four Seasons Hotels, Ritz-Carlton Hotels, W Hollywood and Westwood, Beverly Wilshire Hotel, Hotel Casa Del Mar, Mandarin Oriental, Regency, Crosby Street Hotel and the Waldorf-Astoria. JPI has also junketed many films overseas as well as outside the typical hotel setting, from a remote castle in the French Riviera to the shores of a raging Montana river.

      Our professional, dedicated approach and immediate assimilation to set etiquette cements our reputation among the major studios as the firm to offer filmmakers effective, engaging press material using all forms of modern media.     • Dominick Azzaro first introduced the concept of the Satellite Media Tour (SMT) in 1979 for Alfred Hitchcock's Family Plot. SMTs are a series of pre-booked, live, one-on-one interviews that place your talent on television from the comfort and convenience of one location. Your project can reach a vast broadcast audience in the Top 50 markets in only a few hours at a reasonable price.

    Dominick Azzaro introduced the satellite media tour concept for Alfred Hitchcock’s Family Plot, in 1979. In the 30 plus years that have followed, JPI has remained an innovator in the production of television press junkets and satellite media tours. At our clients’ request, we have junketed films across North America and Europe and have broadcast satellite media tours in numerous cities and countries throughout the world.

    The JPI team is comprised of extremely qualified and professional individuals from diverse backgrounds in the entertainment industry. Our television press junkets and satellite media tours are produced according to our high level of standards, in a timely and orderly fashion and to the satisfaction of our clients.

    Walk Through Our History
    1979
    Junket Productions founder Dominick Azzaro introduces the satellite media tour (SMT) concept with Alfred Hichcock’s final film Family Plot, an innovation that will change the speed and reach of film production.
    1981
    With a simple one-camera point-and-shoot setup, the company produces its first press junket for Franco Zeffirelli’s romantic drama Endless Love, starring Brooke Shields.
    1982
    Junket helps bring Steven Spielberg’s iconic blockbuster E.T. The Extra Terrestrial to the masses with its first major tent-pole press junket. The film would go on to surpass Star Wars as the most financially successful film released at that point.

    1984
    For the sci-fi cult favorite Dune directed by luminary David Lynch, Junket Productions made its first movie set visit for some behind-the-scenes coverage in the sandy outskirts of Mexico City.

    1988
    With the hilarious comedy Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, starring Steve Martin and Michael Caine terrorizing several parts of France, the company travels overseas to produce its first internationally based press junket in London.

    1993
    Junket Productions is the first in the industry to render a hotel “junket friendly” by wiring three floors at the popular Four Seasons, Los Angeles at Beverly Hills. Hollywood studios now have the convenience of up to 20 suites for multiple press junket needs.
    1994
    Alongside whitewater rapids on the Middle Fork banks of the Flathead River, Junket Productions joins Meryl Streep and Kevin Bacon to produce the press junket for The River Wild.

    1996
    For the film adaptation of John Grisham’s bestseller The Rainmaker, the company produces the press junket on the bucolic hillside of director Francis Ford Coppola’s vineyard in the Alexander Valley.

    1997
    Junket Productions boards John Wayne’s 136-foot yacht, “The Wild Goose,” to produce the press junket for the golden years comedy Out To Sea, the ninth pairing of legendary comic duo Walter Matthau and Jack Lemmon.

    1999
    On location on the Scottish Isle of Mull, the company joins Entrapment stars Sean Connery and Catherine Zeta-Jones to film the press junket in a 13th Century relic, Duart Castle.

    2001
    From the “Hobbit Village” in Cannes, France, Junket Productions creates the press Junket for The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring, the first installation from the internationally celebrated J.R.R. Tolkein trilogy, directed by Peter Jackson.

    2003
    In the exciting departure from its usual services, Junket Productions is entrusted by the New Line Cinema heads Bob Shaye and Michael Lynne with producing the private Oscar® Party for The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King. The company wires a High-Definition live feed from the red carpet into fifteen plasma monitors set throughout the party. Tying Ben-Hur and Titanic for the most wins ever, the film garnered a whopping 11 Academy Awards®, and is the only one of those three to have won all of its nominations.
    2005
    For the horror-suspense flick The Skeleton Key starring Kate Hudson, the company produces a press junket at the 150-year-old St. Joseph Plantation, a sultry 1000-acre estate just outside New Orleans. Timing and luck are often everything—Hurricane Katrina will hit exactly 30 days later.

    Commandeering three F/A-18 Hornet fighter jets as backdrop, Junket Productions produces the press junket for the action-adventure sci-fi thriller Stealth, starring Jamie Foxx and Jessica Biel, from Naval Base Coronado in San Diego.

    Junket Productions revs up the publicity with a high-speed press junket for action click The Fast and The Furious: Tokyo Drift, capturing multi-camera angles from inside professional drifter cars while “drifting” through a custom track on the Universal Studios back lot, planned by experts Formula Drift.

    Same year, very different racing film. For the Will Ferrell comedy Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby, the company produces the press junket from the NASCAR® pit at the famous Chicagoland Speedway.

    For the Johnny Depp film Public Enemies, Junket Productions produces the press junket on set in the historic Beaux Arts transit center, Chicago’s Union Station, where upstairs offices have been fashioned into J. Edgar Hoover’s bureau.

    Committed to delivering the most cutting-edge services in an evolving digital landscape, Junket Productions is the first to introduce a High-Definition option to the press junket pool, as well as “tapeless” interviews with its adoption of CompactFlash memory cards.
    2010
    With the famed Juliet's Balcony as backdrop, JPI sets up shop in Verona, Italy to produce the junket for Letters to Juliet, starring Amanda Seyfried, Gael García Bernal and Vanessa Redgrave.
